I’m really interested in a more control heavy IB using the new synchro to go into the floodgate IB’s. Can’t figure out what to mix it with though. Trying with Icejade but not having much progress
Can't wait to give Umi Ice Barrier a try. The only thing better than a floodgate is a well-protected floodgate.
Ice Barrier seems like it's gonna be a nice mid-range deck. I'm a sucker for those.
I think people are sleeping on infernoids, remember that it has perfect sinergy with snake eyes and diabellestar, which will be getting more support
Ice barriers are eating unbuttoned after that broken support.
Ice barrier actually feels more eliek modern deck now, the end board I've been seeing are actually decently impressive. The amount of searching, dumping, extension and recursion they have now is also insane. They also finally make use of the flood gate monsters they have now too a good degree. And ice jade aegerine is a 1.5 card synchro for the new boss. I've seen them summon baronne before getting water locked and when they are water locked they still have access to good range of water synchros. Changying, the ice jade synchro, dragite, coral dragon, the new synchro boss etc. ravenous crocodragon also combos really well with the new mirror master card since you can draw cards equal the amount of non tuners you use. The deck isn't as bad as before and genuinely has some better options than many other decks as long as you hone in on the good things in has going for it.
Tbh, i feel like the infernoid cards are good but not enough. The deck bricks a lot and dies to a single piece of interaction. On the other hand, ice barriers went from a literal meme to a deck players will have to respect. The deck is consistent, has some 1 card/2card combos and Goergius is a card that completely stops entire strategies.
The thing about infernoids is in the ocg they have snow , grass (2) and reasoning also still feel like ice barriers need better normal summon and more extra deck monsters also a field spell that gives ice barrier extra deck cards quick effect more disruptions on your opponents turn also could help break boards

Made a pur Ice Barrier Deck with the new support, ended up 11W 2L. Most of the times i lost the dice roll and enden up going second. I felt like the deck dont have much space for non engine. Ended up playing as non enginge only 3 ttt and a kaiju which u can search with foolish burial goods. Outet a full combo spright twin board going second with only engine which i find remarkable. Other match ups where branded, kash, runick, dragons and a couple of other decks i cant remember anymore. Imo deck is good and consistant u have 9 one card starters and many 2 card combos. The only problem is when they remove ur normal summon u better have "Medium of the ice barrier" in ur deck, ended up in my deck because going second when they remove ur normal without giving u the possibility to extend u lost. Aint that bad tbh came up often good. Floodgates like theyre can be only one and gozen match are a joke, rivalry hurts but theyre is a archetype monster out for that which removes s/t, ended up in my side. Most of the other floodgates like Shifter, summon limit u can play around by playing smart. Recovery isnt also that bad.
Since they revealed them so much earlier from the release schedule (25november)do you think Is possible that they announce 1 or 2 more cards ?
infernoid stuff is good but it really needs something to get going

Fusion is just a kitkallos which is amazing but getting the fusion out will be annoying
I've had more success with ice barriers than infernoids. The verbal abuse i've gotten when meta players realise they gonna lose to ice barriers is never not funny😂. But on a srs note, i've only lost 2 games in like 30 or so with ice barriers, whether going first or second.

Swap can foolish it, she can make toad and she can facilitate a 3/4 material crocodragon to draw 3/4 cards mid combo.

Revealer also dumps on Floo. Like that deck literally can't play with her on the field.
Speaker is the other extender you were thinking of that banishes itself from GY to summon a token. But no, IB is actually pretty cracked going first, and puts up a good endboard. Also Spellbreaker of the Ice Barrier is another good floodgate effect where you can discard to prevent both players from playing spells until the end of your next turn.
